Toby for the Meyer Family!

Our Reece's Rainbow Family Support page is up and running!  What beautiful words:  "Toby for the Meyer family!"  Yes!!!

Toby is for the entire Meyer family.  It has been so amazing to see in just a week, how this quest to bring Toby home has brought us closer together as a family.

We are all committed to bringing Toby home as quickly as possible!  We know that the longer we delay on our end, the longer he has to be without the love of a family.  In one week, we have done massive amounts of paperwork already - almost completing our portion of the home study documents on our end.  This has required Mom to be spending a lot of time on the computer, but the rest of the family has stepped up to help each in their own ways.

Our Jake has taken over the kitchen!  He loves to cook and bake and is going to be entering a culinary program at college in Fall 2016, so being in the kitchen is something he enjoys.  But he has gone above and beyond, preparing lunch and dinner several days in a row, cleaning up all the dishes and giving me a lot of extra time to do what I need to do.  We've made sure he knows that his servant's heart in the kitchen is just as much a part of bringing Toby home as someone who gives a generous donation.  Thank you, Jake!
Sarah's heart in this has been a beautiful thing to see.  At first she was a little unsure of whether or not this was a good thing; she really enjoys our family as it is now.  But after a day or so, she was the most enthusiastic supporter of this journey!  I asked her what had changed.  She said, "Well, I prayed that God would either close your hearts to this or open mine.  And He opened mine!" She has busily set to work using her sewing skills to come up with a fundraising project.  Here she is with our friend, Rachel, assembling fabric for her project.  Stay tuned to see what it will be!
The three little boys - well, even they have helped in their own way.  Though they do need their Mama, too, they understand that in order to bring their brother home, I need to spend some time working on things.  They have been good about playing, jumping on the trampoline or watching some movies while I work.  Jack will come in the computer room occasionally and say, "I love you, Mommy," and just give me a hug.  Or George will ask, "Is this something for Toby, too?"  They played with some friends this week and the other mom told me that they talked about their brother Toby quite a lot, sharing how they would get bunk beds and how they are already picking out Lego sets for Toby's birthday.  Sweet, sweet boys!
These five blessings are amazing gifts from God!  Not one has made a complaint about having to share their Mom (stepmom) and Dad with another child.  They have been enormously patient, especially with lots of tears from Mom in the last week.  They want Toby home as much as I do!  We have a clock in the kitchen next to our regular clock.  It has a picture of Toby on it - it tells us "Toby time", so we know when Toby might be waking up in the morning or going to sleep at night, and we pray for him throughout the day.

Toby has our hearts.  And he is for the WHOLE Meyer family!

Hold on, sweet boy!  We are coming for you!  You won't know for a few months that a family is even working to get you, so we trust that our Heavenly Father will wrap His arms around you each night and comfort you and fill your heart with love and hope.
